Buying insurance and making investments will become easier for Canadian lawyers with the launch of Lawyers Financial, says Dawn Marchand, vice-president of marketing and direct distribution for the Canadian Bar Insurance Association (CBIA).
The CBIA and CBA Financial have amalgamated under the new brand Lawyers Financial, Marchand tells AdvocateDaily.com.
“The time was right to bring together our insurance and investment products. We have an updated look and approach that better reflects who we are and what we offer.
"Lawyers Financial represents our full suite of insurance and investment solutions specifically designed for the legal community,” says Marchand.
CBIA targets sole practitioners and lawyers from small- to medium-size firms who may not have access to employee group benefit plans. It serves more than 30,000 lawyer clients across Canada.
Marchand says CBIA “uses the buying power of thousands of lawyers across the country to find the very best products and then enhances them to meet the unique needs of the legal community.”
Under the new brand, CBIA will continue to offer products designed for lawyers, their families and staff, says Marchand.
